McCloskey Enters Elkhart Mayor Race

A former Elkhart County commissioner says he now wants to lead the city of Elkhart.

According to our reporting partners at The Truth, 46-year-old Martin McCloskey has entered the race for Elkhart mayor.

The Republican says if he is elected to the city's highest office, he will focus on his so-called ‘Four C’s’.

Crime, Community, Communication, and Citizens.

McCloskey is a former Elkhart police officer and he served as an Elkhart County commissioner from 2000 until 2004.

He joins four other candidates currently vying for the office.

Current Mayor, Dave Miller, is not running.
