If you must drive on the east side of Elkhart, do not be surprised if you get pulled over.
In an effort to emphasize safety and make people aware of the dangers of drunk driving, the Elkhart County Police will conduct a formal DUI checkpoint on Elkhart’s east side.
It begins at 10PM Saturday night.
Drivers with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or greater will be arrested and prosecuted.
