South Bend Med. Foundation Lowers Blood Donor Age

Interested in giving blood?

Starting Friday, you only have to be 16.

The South Bend Medical Foundation says it is lowering the age requirement for blood donation to help more people in the community.

The first blood drive to allow 16-year-old donors was held Friday at Washington High School.

Another blood drive will take place there Saturday.

You can also make an appointment at the Central Blood Bank by calling 234-1157.
