Notre Dame students will have to dig a little deeper into their pockets to pay for school next year.
That is because the university say it is hiking tuition five-point-four percent next fall.
Tuition will now cost more than $35 thousand a year.
And when you add $9 thousand for room and board, the average undergraduate will pay more than $44 thousand next year.
Notre Dame's president says the primary reasons for the increase are the rising cost of health insurance, utilities, the wages of school employees and technological changes.
Graduate and professional school tuitions will also go up.
