Students will not get the answers to the ISTEP exam, but a bill passed by the Indiana House may give them a leg up.
The legislation requires the Department of Education to give schools a guide that shows what academic standards are included on the test and how many questions will be asked.
Supporters say the bill will help schools better prepare for the ISTEP.
However, critics worry the proposal would encourage teachers to only teach what is on the exam.
The bill now heads to the Indiana Senate.
