Snow Delays but Doesn't Cancel Rose Deliveries
Wygants Floral in South Bend is very busy today, especially since most of the staff has called in sick on the busiest day of the year! A stomach virus has gotten the best of the staff, but not to worry, the job will be done.
Even with the slippery roads, drivers are getting the more than 350 deliveries to the "lovely" recipients come rain or shine, or in this case, snow.
Flowers have been shipped in from all over the world and arrive daily. With so many schools and businesses closed today, Mother Nature is making it difficult for people to "spread the love", but where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Even with the closed schools and businesses, the drivers are determined to get the flowers to their new owners. The slippery roads won’t stop them and before midnight, Wygants plans to deliver more than 5,000 roses.
Where will they get enough vases?
