The winter weather delayed a murder trial in St. Joseph County Court Tuesday.
Kevin Martin is charged with shooting and killing his girlfriend Pearlie Dickerson last July.
The shooting happened at the Courtyard Place Apartment Complex off of Jefferson Blvd. in South Bend.
Police say Martin shot Dickerson several times in front of her children.
The St. Joe County prosecutors office tells us opening statements will now begin in the case Wednesday morning.
