According to court documents, in May of last year, 34-year-old Randy Doyle traded on-line pictures with a Seattle man who was the target of a federal investigation.
Court documents allege that the two exchanged 41 images, and that many of those contained child pornography.
In November, the feds first came to St. Joseph and confronted Doyle.
A church owned laptop was seized, and 13 images of child pornography were found.
Court documents indicate 11 of the images were underage females engaged in sex with adults.
Doyle first came to St. Joseph, and St. Peter's United Church of Christ in 2002.
On Monday, an employee of the church said Doyle was on sabbatical.
At this point, it is not known where Doyle got the pictures in question, and whether any local children are in the photos.
