Hundreds of college bound students and their parents got a helping hand in South Bend today.
Financial aid administrators from all over Indiana were in town today for "College Goal Sunday."
The free event helps families fill out financial aid applications.
The goal was to get the applications finished and ready to mail when folks walked out the door.
It is also a way for experts to calm any financial fears families might have about affording college.
Mary Nucciarone, who is with the program says, "if there's one message it's open the door and walk through it..don't just make assumptions..find the information, let the student apply for college..make sure they get in..then we need to work on the money part."
The event helped about 150 families today in South Bend.
