Man Convicted in Connection with a 1996 Murder

A federal jury convicts a second man in connection to the 1996 murder of a 16-year old Berrien County girl.

Jeremiah Sims, 32, was convicted of murder for hire and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Chrissy Satterfield.

Satterfield was shot at her grandmother's house in Benton Township more than ten years ago.

Sims is set to be sentenced on May 16th.

Last month, Carolyn Ross was arrested in Ohio on a federal warrant charging her with conspiracy to commit murder for hire.

Police say Ross hired Sims and Joshshan Childs to kill Satterfield.

On January 12th, a federal jury convicted Childs. He faces sentencing April 20th.
