New Online Database for Better Business Decisions

There is a new tool to protect consumers in Indiana.

Tuesday, Attorney General Steve Carter unveiled an online database that could help people make better business decisions.

That database lists people or companies the state has taken legal action against, for violating consumer protection laws.

"We're not aware of any other state that has done this with their consumer protection litigation,” says Steve Carter, Indiana Attorney General. "It's very important for our consumers to be well equipped with information before they consider which transactions they're going to enter into."

Carter says information on the database will be updated on a daily basis.
