The South Bend Medical Foundation is asking for your help.
The Central Blood Bank is in critical need of blood.
Officials say they only have a one day supply.
They are especially in need of A positive, O positive and O negative blood.
Donations are usually down this time of year and the recent cold weather is not helping.
“It is so important this time of year, with the accidents that happen and with regularly scheduled surgeries, that we get people to come out and donate blood,” explains Jeanna Pugh, blood donor recruiter.
To donate, you must be at least 17-years old, be in good health and free of flu symptoms for at least 72 hours.
You also can not have donated in the last eight weeks.
If you would like to make an appointment, call the Central Blood Bank at 574-234-1157.
