Indiana Democrats Present Property Tax Plan

Indiana House Democrats are presenting a plan they hope will bring significant property tax relief to homeowners.
The plan allows counties to raise local individual income taxes and taxes on some corporations.
It would also shift future growth in child welfare costs from local property tax rolls to the state.
Property taxes are expected to increase by an average of 15 percent this year.
The plan would not affect those bills.
