Some snowmobile enthusiasts hope they'll soon have "everything" they need for a successful winter recreation season.
In recent years, both the Edwardsburg Snowmobile club,
And the Four Flags Snowmobile club received state grants to purchase equipment to groom their snowmobile trails.
For the Edwardsburg club alone,
The price tag was about 150-thousand dollars.
The investments have yet to pay off due to a lack of snow:
Something both clubs expected to get for free.
According to Jason Bentzer with the Edwardsburg Snowmobile club, “we acquired this machine three years ago
and it's still pretty much brand new, cause of a lack of snow.”
The Edwardsburg club maintains some 99-miles worth of trails that wind through southwestern Michigan.
All the work is done by volunteers. For more information on the club visit the following web address: http://www.edwardsburgsnow.com/index.htm
