For a little taste that's south of the border, no need to head to Mazatlan, Mexico but rather Mazatlan Mexican restaurant in Mishawaka.

Alberto Leon is owner and says his place is set aside from the competition. “Our recipes are one of` a kind because we don't use the same recipes as everybody. Our recipes are homemade recipes that we bring from Mexico.”

Mexican paintings and sombrero's line the walls of the authentic restaurant. However, it's the food that keeps bringing people back; especially the lunch crowd. Everything is homemade including their tortilla chips. Alberto says usually every Friday night they will serve at least 3 - 55 gallon barrels full of chips. I can't even imagine how many gallons of their homemade salsa.

One of their most popular items is the fajitas mazatlan which combines chicken, beef, and shrimp and is plenty big...enough for 2 people.

Crank up the heat and come on in!

Enjoy!
