TV sales up for Super Bowl

Super Bowl fans are gearing up for the big game!

And for some that means thousands of dollars in party preparations

But not everyone can go to Florida for the game but they still want to get the best view possible.

Nationwide, it's estimated nearly 2.5 million consumers plan to purchase a new television for the game!

A new poll by the Retail Advertising And Marketing Association also finds more people plan to celebrate the Super Bowl this year compared to last.

It's such a big game some are willing to fork out a few thousand dollars to get the ultimate view of the game.

Ron Mize from South Bend says he has wanted to upgrade for a while so for this game he decided to make the investment. He bought a three thousand TV with surround sound.

At ABC Warehouse in Mishawaka they say Super Bowl Sunday is a big TV sales time and even more so this year.

“With the Bears and the Colts it has been a phenomenal year for big screen television sets,” says ABC Warehouse store manager Mike Sommer.

But no matter what the size of the t-v you watch the game on it’s sure to be a good game for Michiana!

“I've heard several people say they may be a Bears fan but if they are going to lose a Super Bowl at least it is to the Colts,” agrees Sommer.
