Cold Weather Strikes the Northeast

Old man winter may have fooled some of us.

But now, he's here with a vengeance, especially in the northeast.

From Virginia to Maine, millions are shivering today, trying to deal with frigid single-digit temperatures.

In New York City, the department of health issued a weather alert forcing the homeless off streets and into shelters.

While the cold weather has some wishing for summer, others say winter just requires a little more bundling, including lots of layers.

Doctors warn everyone not to take the bitter temperatures lightly.

Frostbite can happen in 10 to 15 minutes.
