Mayor Rea to Run for Re-Election in Mishawaka


Mishawaka mayor Jeff Rea wants to keep serving the Princess City.

Thursday, Mayor Rea officially filed paperwork to run for re-election.

The Mishawaka native was elected mayor in 2003, replacing long time mayor Bob Beutter.

Prior to that, Rea was the Director of Community and Economic Development for Mishawka.

He also worked in the city planning department.

Wednesday, Democrat Mike Hayes announced his candidacy for Mishawaka mayor.

Dona Hall and state representative Craig Fry are also expected to file for the Democratic nomination.
