Antidepressants May Help Smokers

Another drug used to help smokers quit also has some new support.

The antidepressant sold under the brand name Zyban was not as effective as the other, but still can double a person's chance of quitting.

The theory is that some people smoke to deal with depression so, doctors prescribe anti-depressants.

But this new review also found other drugs for depression, such as Prozac, appear to have no effect on helping people quit smoking.
