A Mishawaka woman who hasn't seen her father in 65-years hopes to finally meet him.

Sherrie Drusbacky has dreamt about meeting her dad, but it seemed as though health problems would keep her from that.

However, with the help of the Internet, she has found her father.

"Can you believe it? All my life I've wanted to see him and I'm gonna' see him," says the 65-year-old emphatically. "All my life, all my life I wanted to see him just to say 'Hi Dad’."

Sherrie's mom died, leaving her grandparents to raise her.

Over the last 23-years Sherrie has had three heart attacks, 10 bypasses and three open heart surgeries.

Decades ago she was given two to three years to live.

Then, her only brother passed-away.

Dreams reminded her of the father she never knew.

Sherrie recalls, "I always had this strong, big man come and pick me up and he'd carry me away from all the problems. And every time I looked at his face, it was blank. So I had a nervous breakdown, and the psychologist, the psychiatrist told me that the reason his face was blank is because I never got to see him, only his build."

However, five months ago, using the Internet, her daughter Michelle found 87-year-old Roger Bay.

Sherrie says, “I dream about him all the time. I haven't since I found him, because I know he's real, I know he's real."

They've talked by phone and exchanged pictures. Sherrie found out that she has three sisters and a new brother.

Sherrie believes God has kept her alive so she can reunite with her father this week in Hawaii. "When I can go up to him and say, 'Daddy, I'm Sharon K. and I love you and I wanna' hold you in my arms’, I think that's going to be the most blessed event”, she says.

However, Sherrie's father has health problems of his own. At 87, he has signs of dementia.

Sherrie has been told he looks at her picture and cries.

While she doesn't know why they’ve been apart for so long, Sherrie knows her father has tried to track her down before, unsuccessfully. That is, until now.
