The need for blood is critical in southwest Michigan, and the Red Cross is hoping you can help.
There was a blood drive today at the American legion post in Edwardsburg.
The Red Cross is looking for donors because donations are down this time of year.
Karen Pugh says, "What donors can expect to get out of a blood drive is a good feeling, their blood can save up to 3 people. They get cookies, juice, and a McDonald’s coupon.”
“Most people walk out of here, feeling very good that they have done something worthwhile and all it took from is the an hour of their time."
Were told the biggest need is for negative and all "O" blood types.
Another blood drive will be held tomorrow at St. Ann's church in Cassopolis.
