Purdue University Police are searching a section of campus for a cell phone belonging to a missing student.
19-year-old freshman Wade Steffey of Bloomington was last seen a week ago leaving an on-campus fraternity party.
Authorities have determined his cell phone was still on campus as of two days ago, when the signal was lost.
The phone's location has been narrowed down to a part of campus that includes the frat house.
Investigators hope locating it will provide clues to Steffey's whereabouts.
Meantime, the parents of Steffey have set up a reward fund seeking information about his disappearance.
