Indiana State Police have a new officer on the team, but this new addition walks on all fours.
Bosco is a 3 and-a-half-year-old German shepherd.
Trooper Ryan Lebo just completed a 14-week training course with his new partner.
Both are trained in to protect and track humans and narcotics, which makes Bosco the 12th k-9 in Indiana with dual duty.
Trooper Lebo is also trained in k-9 first aid.
Trooper Lebo said, “He's my responsibility, feed, water, clean up after him everything, if he chews up anything in the house, he's my responsibility so it's certainly a different partner.”
Trooper Lebo and Bosco are assigned to the Bremen district.
They will mostly be in Marshall County but will also be responsible for calls in St. Joseph, Elkhart and Kosciusko counties.
