Christmas may be over, but the holiday spirit lives on at Barnes and Noble.
Thursday, Barnes and Noble boxed up hundreds books for South Bend Schools.
Barnes and Noble held their annual book drive over the holidays.
Thanks to the community's help, the drive was a success. Barnes and Noble collected 470 books.
Employees say they are happy they have fulfilled the mission of their program.
"The whole point of our holiday book drive is to get the books out there where we can get them in the hands of kids. Especially kids who may never have another opportunity to have books in their homes," explains Community Relations Manger Jennifer Philips at Barnes and Noble.
The books will be broken down by age and then taken to various libraries throughout the South Bend Community School Corporation.
