Four Eyes Are Better Than Two When Finding Skin Cancer

Video will be available shortly.

When it comes to finding skin cancer, doctors say four eyes looking for possible problems work a lot better than two.

Researchers at Northwestern trained former melanoma patients and their partners to examine moles and changes in the skin.

Four months after the training, patients who had partners helping them were significantly more likely to have done self-examinations than people who did not have help.

Doctors say it is a lot easier for another person to see abnormalities on the scalp, back, ears and back of your legs, and that help can be a life saver.
