Niles coolest festival kicks off Friday night at the 3rd annual Hunter Ice Festival.
Hundreds are expected to come out to celebrate in the winter wonderland.
The big attractions are always the ice sculptures.
About 25 sculptors from across the Midwest will be competing in various skill levels, from student to professional.
But that is not all; the festival has several other fun activities, including a wine, cheese, and chocolate tasting.
But the major attraction this year is an exhibit called "Fire and Ice".
Chickie Landgraf of the festival said, “It's going to be a combination of ice craving and a huge bonfire. I’m not exactly sure what it's going to look like its being kept a surprise even from me, but I think it'll be really, really spectacular.”
The Hunter Ice Festival starts tonight at Riverfront Park, just south of the skate park in Niles.
The festival continues through Sunday.
