Thief Steals a Michigan Family’s Priceless Memories

One family's priceless memories are gone after a thief makes off with a batch of videotapes.

39-year-old Melanie Worthington died last November of pancreatic cancer.

Before she passed away, she made videotapes for her 5-year-old son Theo, showing the two of them baking cookies, playing; anything that might help him remember her when he is grown.

But shortly after Melanie died, someone stole almost all the tapes, two camcorders and a portable DVD player.

Melanie’s mother Carla Worthington said, "I am hoping that they may still be out there somewhere and that someone just threw them in a corner and forgot about them."

Melanie's parents have scraped together a $200 reward out of their disability checks and are now hoping for a miracle.
