Early dismissal at Winamac Schools Due to Bomb Threat

Students were sent home and police were called in after a bomb threat Thursday at an area school.

The scare happened at Winamac Middle and High school.

Police in Pulaski County say a student found a message in a bathroom.

It said that a bomb would go off at the school at a specific time.

Police, firefighters and the area bomb squad were called to the scene.

Students at the school as well as students from the nearby elementary school were all dismissed for the day.

Nothing turned up in the school, but police continue to investigate the threat.

The Pulaski County Express tells NewsCenter 16 that school will be in session tomorrow.
