A new study shows higher education levels do not necessarily mean you will not suffer from age-related memory loss.
The study on elderly adults found those who had more formal education did better than others on cognitive performance tests.
However, researchers at the University of Southern California say adults over 70, even highly educated ones, tend to lose their memory, just like everyone else.
In fact, those with the highest levels of education did worse on a memory test than those with less education.
