Chemical Bank opened up its newest regional headquarters in Niles this week and the bank held a grand opening celebration this morning at its new downtown building.
This building the bank says is the first new construction in the area in 20 years and they chose Niles primarily because of its location.
Tom Grant, President of Niles Community Bank says, “This is really kind of the central area for our southwest Michigan. We wanted to be able to service Edwardsburg, Berrien springs, Buchanan, New Buffalo, Three Oaks, and Eau Claire from here. We felt that was a central spot to be able to capture most of that market.”
Chemical Bank is one of the largest independent banks in Michigan with more than 20 branches just in Berrien County.
