A felony intimidation charge was filed Wednesday against Roseland Town Councilman, David Snyder.
Snyder was arrested at town hall last Friday, after a scuffle with fellow Town Councilman, Ted Penn.
According to court documents, Snyder allegedly said "I'll kill you,” as he kicked Penn about the head and body.
The court documents note that Snyder is 50 pounds heavier, and about a foot taller than Penn.
And that Penn had verifiable injuries, including bruises and a broken tooth on his dentures.
Intimidation is a Class D Felony, punishable by up to three years behind bars.
A conviction on a felony could also jeopardize Snyder's ability to continue to serve in office.
Snyder also faces a misdemeanor charge of battery.
