The discovery of two bodies at the bottom of a manhole in South Bend yesterday, has now lead to a homicide investigation.
Today, the St. Jospeh County Coroner ruled the manner of death was homicide, meaning a person was killed by another.
That means passing on alternate manners of death like accidental, natural, and suicide.
One victim is identified as 40-year- old Michael Nolen, Junior of South Bend.
The other is 56-year-old Michael Lawson, also of South Bend.
Police are not releasing a specific cause of death for either man.
Nolen had earlier been reported missing by family members.
