Credit Card Payments Climb

Consumers appear to be feeling a financial squeeze, and their credit cards show it.

The amount of late credit card payments climbed to its highest point in a year last summer.

That comes from the American Banking Association.

Payments of 30 days or more past due increased to 4.57% during July to September.

That's up from the previous quarter.

Analysts say energy costs have hurt consumers, and many don't have savings to cover rough times.
