Senator Sue Errington mugged in Indy

An Indiana State Senator was mugged while leaving an Indianapolis drugstore.

The attack happened around 9:30 a.m. at a CVS Pharmacy on the city's north side.

Sue Errington of Muncie was thrown to the ground and lost her purse.

Police say two men approached Errington as she was walking to her car, and pulled a gun.

When she tried to get her purse back, Errington was punched in the eye.

She suffered a cut to her left eyelid and was treated at an Indianapolis hospital.

The attack happened on the first day of the 2007 legislative session.
