Friday marks the end of the first ever deer hunt inside Warsaw city limits.
Three weeks ago, the city began allowing bow hunters into specific zones, near the Spring Hill neighborhood, where the deer population has reached nuisance levels.
The program netted about one deer per day.
Police Chief Steve Foster estimates a total of 20 deer were taken during the hunt.
Foster adds that hunters reported seeing herds of up to 60 deer in the area.
Experts say it would take three to five years of hunting to have a significant impact on the population.
