New Study on Fruits, Veggies and Breast Cancer

Video will be available shortly.

This year, more than 200,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer.

Every day, scientists learn more about the role genetics play in your risk of getting the disease.

Molecular Epidemiologist Christine Ambrosone found just ten servings of fruit and vegetables a week lower breast cancer risk by one-third among women with a certain gene.

"A glass of orange juice, an apple, you know a vegetable with dinner vegetable or salad for lunch, there is your five servings; it's really not difficult or undoable," explains Ambrosone.

Fruits and vegetables contain powerful antioxidants and when combined with specific genes, those anti-oxidants do double duty.

By the way, berries have more anti-oxidants than any other fruit.
