A trial date was set Wednesday for the teen accused of killing South Bend Police Officer Scott Severns.
Jeff Finley, 17, is accused of shooting and killing Severns back on April 21st, during an attempted robbery.
Wednesday in court, Finley's lawyer asked for a record date continuance.
He says he needs to talk with his client about whether Finley should enter a guilty plea.
Meanwhile, Finley's trial date has been set for May 21st.
