A former elementary school teacher, who pleaded guilty to molesting a ten year old student, is now trying to turn back the clock.
Some 22-months after admitting his guilt, Timothy Wyllie is asking for a new chance to prove his innocence.
Wyllie’s alleged crimes were committed on school grounds, during school hours, back in 2001.
At that time, he was a fourth grade teacher at Walt Disney elementary school in the Penn Harris Madison district.
In February 2005, Wyllie went to court and admitted that he molested a ten year old student.
Today, Wyllie returned to court, acting as his own attorney, seeking the right to take his case to trial.
A judge took the request under advisement.
Wyllie is also serving time in federal prison in Terre Haute for distributing child pornography.
