There is an update on the local radio transmitter tower that was toppled in strong winds on New Year’s Eve.
WDND, the ESPN radio affiliate in the area, is off the air because of the tower mishap.
It happened on Edison Road in South Bend just on the outskirts of the Notre Dame campus.
Station management tells us they will look at putting some of WDND's programming on other frequencies that they own, including U93 or WZOW.
Tuesday night’s Notre Dame Women's basketball game will air on AM1620.
The company says engineers are looking at the damage.
They are considering alternatives, including a temporary tower.
