Smoke Free In DC

Print

Starting Tuesday, smokers can no longer light up in Washington DC bars and nightclubs.

The District of Columbia passed the smoking ban last year.

It started for restaurants and offices in April.

The new law does allow for cigar and hookah bars, if the business relies on tobacco sales for at least 10% of its revenue.

21 states and more than 23-hundred US cities have mandated smoke-free workplaces.
