Moderate Alcohol Consumption May Lower Risk For Heart Attack

If you celebrated the New Year with a glass of bubbly, you may be helping your heart.

Men with high blood pressure are often advised to avoid alcohol because it could increase their pressure even more.

But, a study of 11,000 men found moderate consumption of alcohol can lower the risk for fatal and non-fatal heart attacks.

Experts caution men to talk to their doctor about their alcohol use, but it appears drinking small amounts may help their heart.
