A thorny chapter in Roseland history is coming to a close.
After the start of the new year the husband and wife team of David and Dorothy Snyder will no longer make up a majority on the town council,
That's when Dorothy's term on the panel will expire,
The Snyder era was largely marked by chaotic council meetings, and civil disobedience.
“I think the fact that i married a fellow council person put us on the radar or a lot of people,” says Dorothy Snyder.
“Then the local tribune said well, one of us should resign, and once they said that, people who had been our enemies through the years, decided we were vulnerable, came out and tried to agitate till one of us resigned.”
Dorothy's husband David will remain on the council until the end of 2007.
