Road Salt Costs Remain The Same

Despite the mild winter weather, the state of Indiana has not seen significant savings in the cost of road salt.

Indot says that is because prices for many road-clearing products have increased.

Many materials come from ports on the Gulf of Mexico, and shipping costs have gone up since Hurricane Katrina.

Any savings are being used for road repairs.
