Exercise could help men ward off advanced prostate cancer.
Men who were most physically active were 36 percent less likely to be diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer than others. That is according to a study of data on 30,000 men.
More active people were also less likely to die from the disease.
The data also showed exercise had no impact on the overall risk of prostate cancer.
Another study shows weight in general could play an important role in prostate cancer.
Researchers from the American Cancer Society say men who lost at least 11 pounds over a decade were about 40 percent less likely to have aggressive prostate cancer than men whose weight changed very little.
Obesity increased the risk of aggressive cancer by about 54 percent.
Prostate cancer has become the most common cancer in men after skin cancers.
