According to AAA, gas prices are up 10 cents from a month ago and 13 cents higher than a year ago.
The nation wide average is $2.34 for regular unleaded and $2.69 for premium.
The cheapest regular is in Mathews, Missouri at a $1.89 and the highest is in Hawaii at $2.99.
With a week to go, AAA says if the trend continues, 2006 will be the most expensive year ever for gas.
