Police in Lake County have arrested two modern day Grinches who literally tried to steal Christmas.
Authorities raided an apartment where they found thousands of dollars in stolen goods.
According to police, Marcus McCoy and his girlfriend Tanya White followed UPS trucks, and then stole the packages once they were left on the doorsteps of a home.
Police believe the couple was stealing the presents to fund their drug habit.
"These people will stop at nothing. Holidays mean nothing to them. All they're concerned about is their greed, their money, and their drugs,” says Lake County Sheriff Ray Dominguez.
The stolen goods found in the apartment ranged from dolls and jewelry, to televisions and computers.
Both thieves were arrested, however prosecutors have not decided what charges will be filed against the couple.
