If you are traveling over the holiday weekend, know that you will be joined by millions of others including extra police.
Indiana State Police say they are adding extra highway patrols over the holiday period.
From Sunday through January 2nd, more state cops will be patrolling the roads.
State police will also have officers working overtime targeting safety violations involving commercial vehicles.
Last year, state police reported 15 people died in traffic crashes on Indiana highways during the holiday period.
