27-year-old Danny Young was part of a three man crew that was working on the site Tuesday. Fortunately, the other two made it out safely. But now, they're left to deal with the grief over loosing their co-worker.

Mike Roush is Danny Young's supervisor. He rushed to the scene after the crew sent out a mayday call after the explosion. Roush says young was a well-liked and hard-working guy.

He says Young was a handyman and his latest project was renovating a home for his family. Grief counselors were on hand for employees at Midwest Energy Cooperative's Cassopolis offices today.

Rouse says Young would have celebrated his one year anniversary with the company this February.

“It was just the helplessness, we couldn't do anything about it. I got the guys out of the field, I tried to talk to them, but I wasn't much help because I was having a heck of a time trying to stay together myself,” says Rouse.

A Daniel Young Memorial Fund has been established for the 27-year-old’s family. We're told funds will benefit his pregnant wife and children.
