Governor Daniels Says Indiana Can Afford Full-day Kindergarten

Governor Daniels says Indiana can afford to phase in full-day kindergarten.

A new fiscal forecast released Wednesday projects revenue growth over the next two years.

Governor Daniels says legislators will have to be frugal, but full-day kindergarten is feasible.

Daniels also plans to increase overall funding to schools.

He says education should be a top priority in the next legislative session which starts in January.

That is when Daniels will send a formal budget proposal to the state budget committee.
