A group of state Senators wants to change Indiana’s new fireworks law.
They want to make it so cities and counties can set their own restrictions.
This summer was the first time Hoosiers could shoot fireworks off from their own property and some cities complained they caused a nuisance.
The law allows people to shoot the fireworks until 11PM and prohibits municipalities from banning them.
Supporters of the current law say it should be the same statewide to prevent a patchwork of different rules and regulations.
